Fees for booking celebrities range from £1,500 to over £1,000,000 for some of the world's leading celebrities to be involved in a major campaign. Costs for speakers range from £1,500 to over £100,000 for some leading international figures. Unless you have already decided the celebrity your brief requires, CMM recommends that you assign a maximum budget for your celebrity or speaker involvement. This enables CMM to realistically suggest the most suitable celebrities or speakers for your proposal. The average fee for a photocall or keynote speech is £5-12,000, but there are plenty of choices for the £2-5,000 budget. Below £2,000 the choices do become more limited. Celebrity fees coming directly from wholly charitable organisations are not acceptable by CMM, however if a company or brand sponsoring the charity contracts the celebrity and pays the bill, CMM have no such moral objection. The exception is when a speaker or artist is being engaged to perform at an event or dinner where tickets are being sold to pay for the performer or speaker and the charity receive the profit. The fees from a sponsoring company or brand are generally not reduced "because it's a charity". CMM do charge and accept fees from charities for celebrity mail outs. Fees quoted always exclude VAT and expenses. VAT is charged on services and appearances in the UK. Outside the UK other local taxes may apply.
