Sir Nicholas Montagu
Nick Montagu's thirty years in the Civil
Service included setting up the social security executive agencies,
privatising British Rail and two spells in the Cabinet Office.
In 1997 Nick became Chairman of the Inland Revenue and headed the
Department through change unparalleled in its previous 200 years. Under
his leadership the Revenue became customer focussed, by far the most
effective provider of e-services in government and a national beacon for
its diversity policies. Nick speaks with both profundity and wit about his
experiences and the lessons to be drawn from them for transforming both
public and private sector organisations. |
